Bak Kut Teh in Chiang Mai

"If you haven’t had bak kut teh I recommend that you try it. The soup has a wonderful flavor with various fragrant herbs that are added to a bone broth that is cooked for many hours. We had it served with rice but others ate their meal with rice noodles and fry bread. The flavor is addicting. I’ll be back for sure. Parking is easy and the staff is friendly. The staff didn’t speak English but it’s okay because the menu is small."

"Passed by one day in May 2018 and saw this shop. Today finally came here to give it a try. Menu 5 set menus pricing from Baht150, 300, 500, 1000 and 2000. Other addon such a rice, veggie, noodles etc available. I ordered the Baht150 set. Customers Here around 12:30pm and the shop is 67% full. Mostly are Chinese-Thai Taste Not bad and rather close to the Malaysia taste. It seems they are serving the 'Black' type. How good is it, I would say there is no comparison in Chiang Mai Meat is well cooked, soft. Also wolfberries are seen, this is one incredient that cannot be neglected. However if you are comparing to Malaysia and Singapore famous stalls, it seem like something is missing. In conclusion, taste is good and considered average when compared to Malaysia BUT the price is on the high side, almost equivalent to that of Singapore, even higher for Malaysia's standard."

"Strong authentic herbal taste with generous amount of ingredients. Good variety of meat like ribs, liver, pig stomach and tendons. Well cooked and tender. Was slightly salty for my liking."
